Looking into a diminished value claim perhaps. If anyone has advice regarding getting the repairs audited by another shop, or my rights to fix faulty repairs, please let me know. Did various body work/panel replacements In summary, they spent 8 months and $32000: Work takes roughly 3.5 months to complete. The shop has received the frame and is starting to receive other parts, like the new ECGS rear diff. Frames are build-to-order, and on a 3 month backorder, so this took over 4 months to get a frame. The impact bent the frame, so a new frame had to be ordered from Toyota. The initial completion date was set for late July 2023. They only paid for a rental for 1 month per my policy. Caliber Collision outsourced a lot of the work to another shop. I did not know the extent of the damage when I selected the shop. I used Caliber Collision due to their partnership with State Farm, and it's the only reputable shop in my area with good warranties. My insurance (State Farm) agreed that I am not liable for the accident, and covered the replacement of all damaged aftermarket components. Today (03JAN2024) is the first time I have seen my truck since the accident. The tow truck came shortly after the accident to pick up my truck. The back-left of my truck was hit by the other vehicle, which was traveling around 40mph. On 01MAY2023, I got in an accident with another vehicle. Other various non-performance knick-knacks Those interested will get a kick out of the story.
